A windy Day in the Garden

Today I worked in the garden pulling out weeds and tidying up. It was the Ngatimoti festival and I could hear the music playing boom boom boom over the sound of the wind in the trees. Daisy dog wasn't far away. The vibernum carlesii pictured here is planted on Daisy's predecessor's grave. She was Holly and a much loved member of our family for sixteen years. This vibernum is in flower now and has a wonderful perfume. Daisy is with Oscar in the photo, he is our lovely Oriental cat who is helping me type this. The photo was taken a while ago, Daisy is almost 5 years old now.

I have to start collecting a list of scented plants for my new garden. I want the most scented viburnum! Divine, although is it a pretty bush? Lilacs are fabulous when flowering, but rather unimpressive when not. I think my new garden will have to be very carefully planned. Give all of the cats and Daisy a hug from me XXX
